Wireless Troubleshooting

How do I get a Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard (3169WWZ) with a Tungsten E2?

I have gone through all the troubleshooting steps listed on the Palm website. I am totally stumped.

1. Did you try troubleshooting using this IR freeware utility: http://www.freewarepalm.com/communication/irmonitor.shtml Download this and install into the E2. Run the application on the E2. You can test if the IR Monitor program and E2 IR receiver works by using a working TV, VCR etc, remote control and aiming it at the E2. Aim the keyboard IR beacon at the E2 window when running IR Monitor. Does the IR Monitor sense a signal? If you are able to beam and receive address via IR with the E2 using another Palm, I suspect that the keyboard IR beacon is defective?, battery low? Eh, a silly question.....did you "Enable Keyboard" in the Palm Wireless Keyboard driver? Good luck.
2. download the keyboard software if it would not work, try to do a hard reset, hotsync with a new username and then install the software using that new username, if it would not work still, try to change the battery.. if still would not, you may ask palm tech suport for more help.. or call them now, they'll troubleshoot the prob. if your keyboard is defective and is still within a year, the'll replace it
