Wireless Troubleshooting

need help setting up a wireless connection! help please!?

so i have a laptop and a desktop and i currently have a wireless router linksys. i lost the box on how to set up a wireless connection. i have one right now but i dont have the password or username or key or anything because i am not the one that made the connection. anywho can someone please help me i am so lost i dont know where to begin. thanks! how do i find out what my user name and password is when i put my ip address in the internet link so i can change some stuff around

1. factory reset the router and use default admin account to reconfigure the router again.
2. hey on the back of the router theres a little red button, hold that down for 30 seconds this will reset your routers configurations. Once you do that allow it to reboot (you may have to disconnect your internet from the router first and then reconnect your internet modem) then fire up your laptop and look for any wireless connections, yours by default should say "linksys" how to get into your routers interface is by typing in the url: 192.168.1.1 user name/pass by default is admin, admin there you can set your security on the wireless...hope that helps, Jeanette
