Wireless Troubleshooting

connecting to a wireless network, can someone help me please?

i have a Thomson router set up and my daughter wants to connect her computer to the wireless network, i bought her a buffalo internet adapter from argos and i installed & followed instructions, it starts to connect but gets stuck on acquiring network address it says signal strength excellent but why is it not connecting?

1. it is working ok if you are getting excellent signal strength but it is not connecting to your router because you are probably trying too connect to and old setting to remove this setting on your daughters computer is quite easy andshould fix the problem but it is important that you input the correct password in the correct format if you dont it wont tell you it will just not connect(the problem you have so here goes try this on your daughters computer Right click your wireless network icon(bottom right of your screen Choose (network and sharing centre ) then choose(manage wireless networks) highlight yours and Choose remove exit this back to desktop now left click you wireless icon and this time choose connect when your network name appears connect add your password and thats you hopefully this will fix your problem
