How can i setup wireless online on my laptop?

i see people can go online in the public place, i can't find out how to setup wireless online?

2. You need a wireless routher DSL and or Cable 1st then hook up you routher to you DSL or Cable modem.
3. If you want to set it up at your home, you need to get a wireless router and a WiFi card. If your laptop is a new one, it might have one. If you're trying to get online at a public place, so it depends, if you're in the range of the wireless router. Usually the radius is not more then 50 meters. Once you're in the radius, you need to scan with the help of your driver, which you'll probabely find in the taskbar below. once you've scanned the area you need to select a network and you'll have access to the internet...
4. First of all u need a wifi certified card or built in wireless reciever. Then you have to find a hot spot where wifi service is provided. then you scan for connections. Most of the time you need a wep whcih is a securitycode to protect intruders. There is some places like starbucks or some MC donalds that offer it. Some charge for the wep key though.
