  1. To accomplish this, simply. 1. Install a wireless router, buy one if you don't have it yet. 2. Connect the dial-up, DSL, or cable modem onto the router. 3. Connect the router to your computer (desktop) 4. Configure the router (refer to the router's manual). 5. When your Desktop is able to connect to the internet, then your laptop will be able to also, wirelessly. 6. That's it. Should you need help setting up your router, post your router's information (manufacturer, model, etc...) on another question and we'll be glad to help you. Good luck!
  2. All you need is a wireless router, and a cat 5 cable... and you will be set. The router will come with instructions on how to install it. It is actually very simple and you will love having wireless on your laptop! Here are some simple instructions: Plug the wireless router into the cable or DSL modem using the CAT 5 (network/ethernet) cable, plug your desktop into the router using another CAT 5 cable, and then your laptop will wirelessly connect to the router. Your desktop and be wireless if you want that too, but if your desktop is near the modem/router then no need in doing that.

  4. You need to purchase a wireless router. The router connects to your current modem,
  5. You'll need a wireless router and some network cable. The router should come with instructions but basically you connect your cable modem to the router, wired connection to the pc and use Window's New Network wizard to connect your wireless pc.
  6. If you use a wireless ADSL router, gateway, modem or bridge (later - network hardware), open your browser type 192.168.1.1 to enter the built-in software of your network hardware... Open the installation guide of your network hardware and read the configuration tips. When you type 192.168.1.1 it can as for log-in username and password; usually it's "admin" for both of them but it's different for different manufacturers.
