How do I setup wireless internet in my home?

I have a laptop with WIFI in it. And I have my desktop computer hooked up to the internet. What do I need to do to setup my wireless internet so I can use the internet on my laptop anywhere in the house.

Connect the router to your computer (desktop) 4. Configure the router (refer to the router's manual). 5. It is actually very simple and you will love having wireless on your laptop! Here are some simple instructions: Plug the wireless router into the cable or DSL modem using the CAT 5 (network/ethernet) cable, plug your desktop into the router using another CAT 5 cable, and then your laptop will wirelessly connect to the router.
