Wireless Troubleshooting

How to delete wireless network created with XP wireless network setup wizard?

I've found this question asked twice before, but the answers provided to each instance have not worked for me personally. After creating a 'wireless network' with the wizard, I can't actually find any sign of the network anywhere on my computer, so I am unable to delete it. The lone exception to this, and the only reason I even know the network exists, is when I re-launch the WNSW, I am given the option of adding new computers or devices to said network that I've created. There is no icon for this wireless network in My Network Places & Network Connections, and I have no 'wireless connections' tab to check. Thanks

  1. Be sure that windows is actually managing your wireless connections. Many laptops and PC's come with a third party wireless manager and you must tell windows which wireless manager you are using. If you are sure that windows is managing the connections, all you need to do is open the wireless connection manager window and delete any connections you do not want.
