wireless help, dlink n router and AP no signal? i am having trouble with my home wireless, i have a dlink n DIR-625. i bought it about 2 years ago. when i set it up just did the set up wizard i only use it for iphones and 2 laptops. i could never get it to work right it will have full signal for about 20 sec after set up then drop to one bar. i live in a small house and even now im 5 feet from it and have 1 bar. today my friend at work gave me a dlink N DAP-1522. soi figured id shut off the wireless on my router and try the AP. same thing happens. please help.

Help Hooking up wireless Printer HP Photosmart C4580? I have a Lenovo Idea pad and am HP Photosmart Hp printer. I moved about 5 months ago ever since the wire printer wont work. The printer program is installed in my computer since it did work prior to moving. Can someone help me so that every time I need to print I do not need to get up and plug the print into the usb port. It is negating the whole wire aspect of my printer.

Help with PS3 wireless problem? I am trying to connect my sons PS3 to our wireless - it was okay a couple of days ago but now it wont connect at all. help with dell wireless internet connection? my boyfriend's dell inspiron 1000 laptop got a virus and we had to reformat everything. started acting all funny and soon the start button didn't even work any more. after we reformat it everything started working like normal but now we cant get the wireless connection to work again. we have an internet card but it just wont catch on. is there a software that i need to install if so what kind? did we forget to do something when we reformat his laptop? and another problem is... this svchost.exe kept popping up everything we tried to shut down. it kept say that the program was still running. after i found it in the laptop search, i started to delete it. was that a good idea and what is svchost.exe? please help me with this problem. thank you for your time i already added software that is needed on to the laptop after i reformatted it. added all the drives that came with it too

Wireless internet problem, can anyone help? But on my girlfriends computer, under her wireless connections, my router shows up and asks her for a password. Wireless Help!? I have a wireless card for my laptop and enjoy wireless service at work and on vacation. My problem is, I don't know how the service works at all and want to enjoy it at home as well. I live in a very rural area and no one has high speed internet here. What equipment do I need to purchase and is it even possible to get service? Ok, so I am connected to my wireless network, but for some reason, when I try to disconnect the network cable and the router, the status on my wireless card goes from "connected to internet" to just "connected to router". why is this? Need help with my wireless router? i have a linksys router and ever since i got my new laptop, I am unable to connect through the wireless signal. My laptop picks up the router but when I try to connect it keeps saying acquiring network address. Possible modem and wireless router problems. Can you help? I have 2 computers and both are downloading corrupt files. The computers run wireless. I was so frustrated that I went and purchased a new computer thinking that this was the issue. I now have 3 computers all under a year old downloading corrupt downloads. How can you find an wireless internet connection on a windows XP? The strange thing is, my wireless worked perfectly on my desktop before, but then one day it just stopped. I searched on help and support, it tells me to go to Network and Connections thing in control panel and to click on the "View available wireless networks" task. I held in reset on my router and now every time i connect to the wireless router it doesnt let me on the internet or nothing. how can i fix this or what should i do

I installed Linix Ubuntu and now my wireless Internet is not working (Help please!)? I mean everything should be working after the installation process. Need help understanding wireless mic system. AF? Squelch? I need help understanding certain settings on a Karsect brand wireless UHF receiver (mic system). I tried to find the manual online but couldn't. First, what is the AF indicator for? And what is the squelch controller? Should I turn it up or down? Help my wireless adapter is not working? Yesterday i bought a wireless adapter, hooked it up, and it worked fine. Wireless Keyboard Trouble!! PLease HELP? Hi, I bought a wireless keyboard+mouse last year, a logitech mx3000 desktop which I set up on my macbook without any drivers. It managed to work as a plug and play device although I do think my mac had configured the keyboard using its inbuilt utility that pops up everytime you connect a new keyboard. Now the other day I might've accidentally pressed something on either the wireless receiver or the keyboard itself which has caused all the keys to stop working. There are some keys that work but keys like the letter keys, number keys, shift, ctrl, alt etc have all stopped working. So in the name of figuring out i lay both my palms flat on all the keys and suddenly i started to see 7's being typed which happened through some combination i mightve pressed but i noticed that the number 7 wasn't actually held down but a lot of the other keys were. Does anyone know what is going on here or do I give my keyboard it's last rights? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. useful comments would be a appreciated a lot more sir.

OK... i have an aliant 6520 speedstream router and im having a lot of trouble setting this up... i checked online and i went to http://192.168.2.1 and then i tried to configure some settings but i need a user and pass, which I do not know :(.. i read i can reset my router and it will reset the user and pass but will that mess anything up on my computer? also I have read a lot of things the last hour so it's not a common problem. I'm using windows XP and at the bottom right there is a computer with an x which is my wireless but when i click on it and refresh.. nothing comes up. i dont want to reset the router until i find out if its safe and please help, it's really annoying having to go on my laptop where I can just go on my computer. My wireless router is connected to the internet, but the wireless won't come on!? I have a desktop computer where the internet is working perfectly fine, but I have my Belkin Wireless Router connected to it so I can use my laptop. But all of a sudden the wireless won't come on! Wireless help? I have windows vista, and my wireless does not work. It did before, but for some reason, I decided to connect a local wire to my labtop, hoping that the connection would be faster, but then the internet(labtop) doesn't work, then when i pull the network cable out, the wireless does not work either. Ive got a Wireless network problem need help fast? Right here goe's yesterday i bought a new internal harddrive for my pc which is upstairs, i put a clean install of windows xp pro onto it, but when i install my network adaptor which is NETGEAR it wont connect to my network, the router is downstairs and i connect to it from upstairs ( no ethernet cable ) when ive put xp onto it, i install the network adaptor and ibve done this 5 times now, ive also turned firewall off and ive also allowed the network adaptor to exeptions, ive no idea why i cant connect to my network, it keep's saying AQUIRING NETWORK ADDRESS ,then it tries to connect, it's like something is blocking it out, ive not had this trouble before, do any of you know what could be causeing it? as it's really doing my head in.

ive really been wanting to find wireless earbuds for my iphone. any help would be greatly appreciated? ok so ive been looking for wireless earbuds..not headphones, earbuds that like stick in your ear. the only thing i can really find are imuffs and those look stupid and they're headphones. i dont get why companies havent come out with them yet. bluetooth headsets (for calling) are two way wireless, having to go from the phone to the headset, and then sending back your voice to the phone. wireless earbuds would only be one way, from the iphone to your ear. it seems like it would be a lot more simple and cheap to create than even bluetooth headsets. if anyone can tell me why they havent come out with anything or could give me anything i would be so very thankful

Why do i have to have a wireless connection? I have just joined sky broadband after being with virgin for 2 years because it was cheaper. Wireless Help!!!!!!!!!!? I downloaded vista onto my dell inspiron 600m and then hated it so i re downloaded XP onto it. Now that i did this the Wireless Network Connection 2 button that shows up in the bottom right hand connor by the time doesn't show. I chatted with Dell online and they said it was the driver. I have them connected through a wireless modem and both running the internet. I have set up file sharing through windows and am able to acces and share files between both computers. My question is what should the speed be when transfering files from one computer to the other through home networking in windows. And have set up a home network using the networking wizard through windows and selecting each computer is connected to the internet through a residential gateway,, this i think meaning my wireless modem ( an orange livebox ) what should be the speed i get when transfering files between computers ?? they both have excellent signal as the modem is just at the other end of the room and both adapters are 54mbps. but at max i am only getting 0.5 mbps speed when transfering the files, surely it should go faster than this, should it ??? I have a wireless network, with one laptop already connecting, but when I try to use another laptop(both with XP home), it won't go past the step where it acquires the IP address from the router. I know my router is DHCP capable, and it had no trouble assigning an IP address to my first laptop. I've tried setting a static IP address, and entering those setting manually into the TCP settings page on my laptop, and no success. Then I figured there might be something wrong with my wireless card, so i tried it at a friends house, and I had a flawless connection. Any ideas on what i can do? I hope this is enough info to find help. All settings match, and DHCP is enabled on both the router and the laptop. Can I rule out that the wireless adapter on the laptop is malfunctioning since i was able to connect to another network using a DHCP server? Both of which were 802.11G by the way. Not to mention that I've connected to my network before using another computer.

Everytime i use my wireless adaptor with my router my xbox live works for 5 minutes and then it says disconnected from xbox live then with my ethernet cord i put the ip address the gateway the dns server and all the numbers to put in and the router just binks orange for my ethernet cord slot. I have a Toshiba Satellite M45 laptop and I have a problem with connecting to my wireless internet please help The problem is whenever I connect to my wireless connection, it shows up as good connection but then after about 15 minutes the connection stops working. I restart my modem and router and the laptop connects to the router again, but it soon disconnects from the internet. Intermittent issues acquiring a network address using a wireless router, can you help? I have a wireless router with two PCs connected, everything works fine but every few hours one of the two PCs will disconnect itself from the network (while the other will stay connected and working fine) and when trying to recconect it stays in "acquiring network address" state forever. If I reboot the router it works fine for a few hours but then i have the same problem again. I have try to assign an IP address manually through TCP/IP properties but it does not help. I opened my new Linksys Wireless G Router and put in the CD that came with it so it could step-by-step guide me in how to hook it up. I am 100% sure that I put the cables where they needed to go, and yet during the setup process, it would not detect an internet connection. I did what it told me to do. I restarted my DSL modem 3 times, restarted the router, and the computer, but still no internet connection. I gave up on the setup process and hooked it back up before I put the router on. Will 2 wireless wii sensor bars help pick up my remotes better? I have a big screen and when my friends are over they have a hard time with the remote if they are sitting off to one side. Ithought that if I had two wireless sensor bars I could position one on both sides of the tv and it might help. Answers?

Help need with setting up a wireless connection between a dell inspiron 6400 and a sky netgear router? Help i've tired every thing, I've disabled the fire wall on Mcafee, up dated the driver's, and it nothing to do with the connection because i'm using my other laptop wirelessy to write this. I can get it to connect with the LAN wire but wirelessy it picks up the other wireless devices but will not connect. Need help my computer says it is connected to wireless but when i try to open a page it says server not found? All my other roomates can connect to the wireless internet, so it should not be the router. I really hate computers can anyone help? Thanks

Please help me connect to my wireless network? I guess I'm clueless. I have a Windows XP laptop, and a linksys router. I can connect directly to the router and get internet, but I can't connect wirelessly. This wouldn't matter much to me, but my family has a Mac desktop computer that uses the same wireless network, and can't get internet. If anyone could help or give suggestions, that'd be awesome. How do I hook up a linksys wireless router? Can somebody please help? I have windows vista installed on the working pc and bought a linksys wireless router at a flea market. Are there any verizon wireless customers who can help me out? I am going to be getting a plan with verizon wireless. This will be my first time having a cell phone plan (I have had prepaid before with t-mobile). Are there any hidden fees? When you became a first time customer were there other things you were charged for besides the phone, the activation fee, and the monthly plan? I would also like to know what is the best phone to buy. I don't want to spend a lot of money but also don't want to get a crappy phone that I will be stuck with. I was looking at the Samsung Sch-u740 is this a good phone? Sorry I forgot to add. I have a razr it's broken. I haven't even had it a year. So many problems with it and I'm so unhappy with it I do not want a motorola. My brother has a razr and his seems to be fine but I would just rather have a different phone. I have read so many people with razr's who have had trouble. The nearest place for them to fix my razr is like 2 hours away and I can't do that. I take care of my phone. A boot loader screen keeps coming up on it and it won't shut off. I don't drive and don't have someone that would put gas in their car to drive 2 hours away for a stupid phone. It wouldn't even let me use half of the features it had.

Please help me with a Wireless internet question? I had a desktop hooked directly to DSL.... I am moving the Desktop computer to another room that doesnt have a phone jack. Can I have the DSL hooked to a router in the original room and then have the Desktop computer running wireless DSL in the other room. In other words, when I hook the DSL into the router, does it have to be hooked into another computer in the same room?

I need help getting wireless internet from a distance? I have wireless internet working on 2 laptops in the house. I want internet on my desktop that is in a room without a cable hookup. Instead of running a really long cord, I bought a usb wireless card from netgear. It doesnt pick up the signal.
